Review - Anne-Marie - Utilita Arena, Cardiff

The Essex singer is promoting her third album 'Unhealthy' which has some of the qualities of crazy adolescence - something which her enthusiastic young crowd is very much up for celebrating with her. She clearly has a wonderful following of adoring fans who latch onto her every move and sing back lyrics with a phenomenal passion which is always great to see at a live concert.

Except the 'live concert' bit is perhaps questionable due to the absence of live musicians - even Abba managed some of them at their digital experience. This is perhaps more stage show with sets, dancers and choreography that blurs the line between a gig and musical theatre.

Is the future of live performance? Well there is place for all sorts and for every four piece rock band there is room for someone to do things differently. In the end it's down to the fans and at this showing it would seem that her fans love what they are getting. Viva la difference.
